I do the art thing. Or at least I'm supposed to. At least I do it more than the YouTube thing I'm supposed to do, too.
In reality I'm just addicted to FFXIV and like purple.

Despite only now coming back to Newgrounds with the whole Tumblr bullshit; and having only made my account back in 2011, I was browsing Newgrounds for years before that. And I always wanted to make my own animations, having been inspired by the likes of Egoraptor and Krinkels (because who didn't watch the Awesome and Madness series back then). But, I never pursued it. Mainly for having no decent animation capable software (remember Pivot? man...) and around 2008/09 I almost completely lost interest in even making anything creative.

So maybe now could be my chance to finally get into animation... see what 2019 brings us...

Now's as good a time as any. :) Earlier versions of Flash are free these days too... if software's the issue (Adobe shut down their activation server for Macromedia products, so the serials are pretty much public domain). Whatever tools you choose though looking forward to maybe seeing something some time!

Software hasn't been an issue for me for a while now. Ex version of Clip Studio has full animation capabilities. All that's really holding me back now is ideas and laziness. :v

Oh, that's one I'd never heard of before. Have you tried Flash earlier on? Curious how it compares if you have. Those other things hmm... can't do much about those. XD I hear coffee helps though.

Last time I used Flash was well over a decade ago, so I can't really compare as I can't remember much about it.

Oh, long time. Any other experiences? Toon Boom? Well, without comparison: would you recommend Clip Studio to anyone starting out?

I'd have to properly have a go with the animation feature before I could make any sort of recommendation.

Ah well, will await said time then if it comes. :) Seems interesting.
